The Symposium on Small Populations also attracted the attention of the press, as the following press releases show (partly in German):

Symposium on Small Population Groups successful

The Symposium on Small Population Groups summoned all the relevant stakeholders in small populations for two days (1st & 2nd of July 2014) to Vienna. On this great platform, all the aspects to small population groups, be it personal, regulatory or legislative, were presented vividly. Furthermore, the IDeAl project was introduced, along with two other EU-funded projects on small population groups (Asterix and InSpiRe).

Young Scientist Meeting was a great Success

The IDeAl Young Scientist Meeting brought together all the young researchers of the IDeAl project in order to get to know each others areas of research and identify possible areas of interaction. The young scientists did not only present the key items of their cutting-edge research, but also seized the opportunity and discussed the further steps of their cooperation. Great ideas were developped, and much more is still to come. The slides of the meeting are available in the IDeAl output section or directly here.

First External Advisory Board Meeting was a Success

On June 30, 2014, the IDeAl partners met up with the IDeAl External Advisory Board. Beside giving the EAB a broad overview over the structure and the tasks of the IDeAl project, the meeting included an animated discussion on possible areas of interaction. Some EAB members joined in via telephone conference. Many ideas where collected and the next steps were envisaged.
