New statistical methods for small population group trials is spread in many ways, be it papers, talks, workshops or software. However, behind the scenes, it is the people who disseminate and diffuse the knowledge, who cooperate with research groups and translate the results for various IDeAl’s stakeholders. The three following examples give proof of IDeAls influence beyond the limits of the statistical community.

  • IDeAl Study Stays

The exchange of knowledge and information, especially the information concerning IDeAl research results, is fostered by short term scientific study stays of IDeAl personnel at the institutions of the Advisory Board that spread the new IDeAl methodology.

  • IDeAl External Advisory Board

The Advisory Board not only consults the consortium in scientific matters, but also multiplies and translates information related to the IDEAL activities in small population group trials.

  • IDeAl prospects

Even if a member of the consortium completes their tasks in the IDeAl project and leaves the consortium, he or she will carry forward the new IDeAl methodology on small population group trials in their new work places.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
